Your Student Health Center Main Content

Southern Illinois University’s Student Health Center (SHC) is an ambulatory health care facility accredited by the AAAHC since 1996. We provide primary care for routine, acute and chronic illnesses. The SHC offers prescription and allergy injections, immunizations, health education, in house laboratory services, confidential HIV testing, reproductive consultation including contraception, specialty consultation referral, treatment and screening for STDs, and women’s and men’s health care.

Downtown Advisory Committee Meeting

The Paul Simon Public Institute will be hosting the City of Carbondale's Downtown Advisory Committee Meeting this evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Health Center Auditorium. More information

Rover to the Rescue

St. Francis CARE team will bring rescued dogs to the SIU Campus Lake Boat Dock from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8. Take a break from midterms and stop by the boat dock to pet, walk, or give attention to a rescued dog – a sure way to make you smile and reduce your stress. Download event flyer
