During the COVID-19 Pandemic, patients cannot make appointments using the web-based medical appointment scheduling system known as the Saluki Health Portal. At this time, patients can be seen by the department with the following appointment types:

  • Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS): video-conference using Zoom (Telehealth)
  • Psychiatry: video-conference using Zoom (Telehealth)
  • Medical Clinic: in-person or by video-conference using Zoom (Telehealth)

For ALL appointments, patients must call first.

Patients can still manage their health care and connect with their care team online using the Saluki Health Portal. It's free, easy to use, private, secure, and available 24 hours a day from your computer or mobile device.

How to enter the building

During the Restore Illinois phases 3 & 4, we ask all patients and visitors to enter through Door 2 for temperature checks and Covid-19 screening questions.

Please have a mask on at ALL times when inside the SIU Student Health Center.

Student Health Services is now providing video-based telehealth appointments using Zoom as our preferred video-conferencing software. The following departments have video-based telehealth appointments available for patients.

Please call to make an appointment.

Medical Providers are available to see patients face to face during the COVID-19 Pandemic. However, not all medical issues require an in-person visit. A nurse will assist during the call to help determine the best type of visit for the patient.

Please call to make an appointment.
